2. What cookies are and how they are used?
As part of offering and providing customizable and personalized services, our sites may use†cookies to store and sometimes track information about you. A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a server and stored on your computer's hard drive. Several features of our sites require that you accept cookies in order to work properly. We often use cookies to store visitors' preferences and record session information.
We use cookies in order to optimize our marketing efforts as well as those of other third parties, with regard to advertising. These cookies are shared with third parties such as advertising and social media networks, or other companies, in order for these entities to be able to yield more efficient use of available advertising inventory. For these purposes, the cookies are usually placed by the advertising networks and other media properties we work with. This functionality enables these entities to remember that you have visited our sites, and this information is then shared with third parties such as advertisers and data processing and targeting companies.
Cookies are also placed by other third parties, such as companies that track, measure and analyze various aspects of our web site activity in order to help us customize and improve the web site experience for visitors to our sites, and to provide other third parties with information about visitors to our sites to help optimize their marketing efforts.
You have choices with respect to cookies. By modifying your browser preferences, you have the choice to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies. If you choose to reject all cookies you will be unable to use those services of our sites that require registration in order to participate. These services include auto-fill in of the logon form, the ability to book reservations, and potentially other features of our sites. However, you can still use other features of our sites even if you do not accept cookies. Our sites may also collect†IP addresses†which can be used to correlate a cookie with your specific computer or device.
Please also note that you can opt out of our advertising service provider(s) and other companies' tracking cookies by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance located at http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the Network Advertising Initiative located at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/.
3. Who is collecting your information?
When you are asked for personal information on our sites, you are sharing that information with Equity LifeStyle Properties, Inc. and its affiliates, unless it is specifically stated otherwise.
We also work with third-party companies that use their tracking technologies (including cookies and pixel tags) on our websites in order to provide tailored advertisements on our behalf and on behalf of other advertisers across the Internet. These companies may collect information about your activity on our sites and your interaction with our advertising and other communications and use this information to determine which ads you see on third-party websites and applications. For more information about this practice and to understand your options including how to opt out of receiving these tailored advertisements, please visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s (NAI’s) consumer opt-out page, currently located at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/.
4. How your information is used?
The primary goal of our sites in collecting personal information is to provide you, the user, with a customized and optimized experience and to assist you in communications and completing transactions with us.
From time to time, we may allow third party advertising networks to collect and use your information to show you targeted ads (including our ads) on our sites or on other sites . This typically involves the ad network collecting and tracking certain technical information (such as your IP address) and web site usage information (such as your browsing history) on our sites and across many other sites on the web. However, this does NOT involve the collection, use, or sharing of your personal contact information, such as your name or email address. You can opt-out from this type of third party tracking at any time by going to: http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp
With respect to security, when we receive certain types of sensitive information such as financial information, we redirect visitors to a secure server. If you cancel your reservation and provide less than the required notice, you forfeit your deposit amount.
- Annual stays: Due to the strong demand for our extended-stay reservations (lasting 185 days or more) and the limited site availability at many of our campgrounds and resorts, we recommend securing an extended-stay site by placing a site holding deposit. This deposit can be made at your convenience and consists of a $150 site holding fee, which is fully refundable under the following terms and conditions. Should an Agreement for Use of RV Site for your extended stay not be fully executed within seven (7) business days (excluding weekends and federal holidays) following our receipt of your $150 site holding deposit, or within any additional time needed between the parties to finalize the Agreement, then the site holding deposit ($150) is fully refundable to your original form of payment. Once we issue your refund, it may take an additional 7-10 days for your financial institution to make funds available in your account. Please contact us at (855) 336-8892 if you have not signed an Agreement for Use of RV Site or received a refund within that time frame. Please note that the $150 site holding deposit secures a site at your selected campground or resort, but does not secure a specific site. A manager or other employee working at that campground or resort should reach out to you after you make the $150 site holding deposit to discuss site location and the execution of an Agreement for Use of RV Site. In order to sign an Agreement for Use of RV Site allowing an extended stay at a campground or resort, you must meet residency requirements for seasonal or annual stays. If you become an annual guest pursuant to an executed Agreement for Use of RV Site, the $150 site holding deposit will then be applied to either the administrative fee (if applicable), or will be credited towards the annual site payment. Advertised rates do not include taxes and fees. Electricity is not included for stays of 30 days or longer. Usage of any seasonal or annual site may be limited to dates that the campground or resort is open. While, if you become a seasonal or annual guest pursuant to an Agreement for Use of RV Site, you may leave your RV on the site year-round, there are restrictions that limit the amount of time you may occupy your RV on the site that vary by campground and resort. Open dates and length of stay vary by campground and resort. Must be a current Thousand Trails member or purchase a Camping Pass membership in connection with seasonal or annual stays at Thousand Trails campground. Amenities vary by campground and resort.
